Ellen KazanoffAccording to an unknown author, “Simplicity is making the journey with baggage enough”. I live my life, as well as run my business, according to the “less is more” philosophy. More time to do the things you love to do, more space to live comfortably, and more peace of mind! As a baby boomer myself, I am familiar with the feelings of overwhelm and panic that accompany the decision to make a major home or life change.

I have been organizing people, places and things for over 30 years. As a graduate of a comprehensive coach training program, with an undergraduate degree in education and a graduate degree in counseling, I have developed a unique understanding of the underlying issues and challenges relating to clutter. Helping clients recognize, and often change their non-productive behaviors is my formula for success. My training in the field of education enables me to teach basic organizing techniques to my clients, further empowering them to maintain their clutter-free homes.

In 2004, I started my own organizing business, combining my counseling, organizing, and teaching skills. I was focused on helping my clients recognize, and often change, the habits and behaviors responsible for their problems. In addition to teaching my clients basic organizing techniques, I identified and implemented systems and solutions to help them maintain their newly organized homes.

In 2009, after listening to my client’s comments about their difficulties in maintaining their newly organized homes, I added organizational coaching to my menu of services. As an organizer-coach, I am able to offer my clients far more than a “tidy nest”. Setting goals, identifying strengths, and problem solving provide the framework for maximum growth and lasting success. Through the coaching process, my clients and I enter into a partnership, creating for them a “life that fits”, and a set of organizing systems they are able to maintain. Clean Slate Solutions is a combination of my passion for organizing, my love of teaching, and my desire to help others.
